Most homes and outdoor environments will normally contain small amounts of mold. In order to reproduce, molds generate tiny airborne spores, floating through the air continually indoors and outdoors. When mold spores land on damp areas indoors, they may begin growing. Molds commonly grow on surfaces such as wood, paper, carpet, and foods, often becoming unmanageable when excessive moisture or water accumulates indoors.
