Overview
Commercial property site investigations protect prospective land buyers from potential environmental liability. A Stage I Preliminary Site Investigation may reveal a possible concern, indicating the need for a Stage II Preliminary Site Investigation to either confirm or disprove the existence of contamination. If contamination is confirmed, a Detailed Site Investigation will determine the full extent of the environmental impact, and potential liabilities associated. We offer full project management for site remediation, as well as underground storage tank removals.
Project Management
ACM brings to the table a team of environmental and project management professionals with experience in a broad range of remediation scenarios and with project management certification. After assessing your building or site’s needs, we provide independent and complete project management for hazardous materials and/or contaminated sites. We will produce an independent remediation plan and arrange contractors to execute the plan. When necessary, we will develop exposure control plans for contractors involved, monitor their progress and their adherence to the remediation and exposure control plans, following through to completion with a final report detailing the actions taken and resulting outcomes.
Our process includes:
- Initial investigations
- Extensive site surveys
- Waste quantification
- Cost projections
- Field testing
- Laboratory analysis
- Waste audits
When conducting Stage I, Stage II, and Detailed Site Investigations, ACM professionals follow the latest standards for Environmental Site Assessments, including the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), and the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM).
